It's Summer once again! The Summer 2014 season has just began
with the most awaited continuation of KyoAni's boys love fanservice swimming
anime Free!. This season is overflowing with anime sequels from previous year
and seasons, such as the stylish alien-hunting anime SPACE☆DANDY along side
with the ever popular (and talk of the crowd) second season of Sword Art Online.
Summer 2014 season is also offering us another arc of Nisio Isin's Monogatari Series
in Hanamonogatari. There's a handful amount of highly anticipated psychological
horror/thriller categories to offer too, such as the anime adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul
and the original series Zankyou no Terror. But there are a lot of original series as
well with remake and spin-off anime. I guess you already know what are the series
you will be watching for this season but just in case you're still running in circles,
here's the top 10 titles you should definitely see and some of my recommendations.
1. Free - Eternal Summer -
Why Watch: Because all anime fans should bow down to KyoAni for this work of art,
nah just kidding ; P I mean, really.. this anime is for all ages and gender, Hahahah!!
Although this anime seems to be targeting fangirls (like me) and more fangirls. i
assure you bros, it's not yaoi (but there are a lot of tendencies) and it wouldn't be
to gay to handle (i'm lying) for your man boobs ; P
2. Glass Lip
Why Watch: Glass Lip is from the animation studio P.A. Works and mostly all of
P.A. Works titles are so good that they'll make you cry because of perfection.
If you like Slice of Life category then you should definitely watch this one!
3. Tokyo Ghoul
Why Watch: Tokyo Ghoul is one of the highly anticipated series this Summer
2014 season. If you like gore with psychological mystery with blood on top, you
have to check this out A.S.A.P.. If you're not good with that just don't watch it ; P
4. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: Crystal
Why Watch: Because It's Sailor Moon, duh... why not watch it??!! Unlike the
old anime design, the new sailor moon had stick to the shoujo manga design.
All the cast is also new except for Usagi's voice, still Mitsuishi! 90's anime fans
(like me!!) will definitely not miss this one.
5. Barakamon
Why Watch: Barakamon is one of those laid back anime series where the
character wants to go to a place where no one knows him but slowly develops
a liking to his surroundings. It is quite similar to Gin no Saji with less agriculture
involved.
6. SPACE☆DANDY 2
Why Watch: This is a continuation of Shinichiro Watanabe's alien-hunting anime,
Space Dandy! Space Dandy is heavily influenced by Psychedelic Funk, Disco.
Space Dandy is a dandy in space, basically! ; D
7. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Why Watch: One of your typical Romantic School Comedy series to watch!
8. Ao Haru Ride
Why Watch: Ao Haru Ride is one of the most read (or hottest) shoujo manga.
Like other popular shoujo manga, the story is getting both a TV anime and a live
action film. If you enjoy shoujo genre, then Ao Haru Ride is a worth watch.
9. Tokyo ESP
Why Watch: Tokyo ESP is one of those looks promising anime but nobody
really talks about. It has it's own ambitious plot with amazing actions scenes.
There's only one way to find out if it's deserving, watch it!
10. Nobunaga Concerto
Why Watch: This series is not very popular especially to international fans
but what caught people's attention was it got a TV anime, TV drama, and Live
Action Drama adaptation all at the same time. The entire anime cast was
announced and mostly everyone is just big names, and to think that 30 year-old
popular Japanese actor Shun Oguri will be the one playing the main character's
role for the live action is definitely a must see.

I believe these series has their own established fans already, so it's really up to you
if you're going to watch it or not.
